During these stressful times, it can be difficult to cope, and you may feel powerless or alone. Therapy provides a safe non-judgmental place for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, identify a realistic plan of action, and come to peace with yourself.  

As a clinical social worker, Karin provides psychotherapy services to adults and adolescents through individuals, couples and family counselling. With over 20 years of experience in the  field, she has developed her own compassionate and strengths-based style of practice working with various mental and emotional health issues, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, stress, low self-esteem and relationship problems.

Karin’s approach includes the use of Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness techniques to bring a greater awareness of one’s own strengths and coping skills for managing stress, improving self-esteem, and beginning effective change to maladaptive thoughts and behaviours.

In addition to this, she has experience with using Emotionally-Focused Therapy techniques to help couples identify problem patterns in their communication and to develop deeper connections with each other.
